I had a window pop up showing me the contents of my hard drive almost like My Computer except it was in an Internet Explorer window. It said Anti-SpyWare not installed or something.
Should I be worried?
Barjor, are you really 7 1/2 years old? ( if so, that's nuts )
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.
That's such BS - it might be the first real use for the DMCA, though... Surely a program that deletes programs it doesn't like constitues tampering....

No I am not 7.5. I am 32. The 7.5 was a satirical coment to someone else on the board. Actually it is time to change but I am not sure to what.

How about, hey everybody! I'm 32
The world is waiting. I must leave you now.
It really doesn't feal like I control my own puter anymore. MS Claim that .NET will take care of many of these issues but sense everything needs to be back compatible I can't see the light in the tunnel.
The article made a good point I think. The spyware is becoming more like a virus. I think I'd rather have a virus, at least I know it'll just crash my computer and be done with it (no hidden motives).
What's the difference between the latest spyware and trojan horses? Sort of the same concept aren't they. They both run on your computer without your knowledge, send information about you or use your system for their bidding, and they both tag along with software that you install.
Why doesn't the government start going after these companies like they do crackers. I'm beginning to think that crackers have more morals than these kinds of companies.
mmmm conspiracy theries.......
they are all watching me all the time...
infamy, infamy....they've all got it in for me !!!!!

We are no longer 'customers' we are 'potential qualified up's'.
Worth about $1 each for our details.
Companies buy our details to direct market to us, even better if they know what we like.
If you can't sell your code, because any protection is cracked within 5mins, how do small software companies make money?
If you have pirated software or music or video on your PC, stop complaining, because indirectly it is your fault.
Is it any different to you phoning a shop, they have caller ID so they can record your phone number, and send you mail or phone back later?
Don't like it, PAY for your software and avoid the Malware.

You know how much info they send out when you are connected?
When you go to windows update Do you really believe that no infomation is being sent?

Yea, at your ISP. Checked their privacy policy on your info lately? My details and habits are worth money to someone (or why else would they collect it).
To take it without my consent is stealing.

Gary Glitter was caught when he took his PC into Dixons for repair !!

Steve
Funny how I got billions of junk mail and email ever since that day I first went to college.... and my little brother who is just about finished with high school is now getting 1000's of letters from colleges he never heard of (or wanted to hear from) hmm....
