When I try to remove a directory that isn't empty under Linux with the rmdir command it sais the directory isn't empty... how can I delete a directory that has files/directories in it?

this:
rm -rf /directory
where the "/directory" is the path to the folder.
the -r stands for recursive and the -f stands for force.
the best things in life are simple.
