    Foreigners don't make sense

How many of you get a kick out of Engrish?

I spent quite some time at Engrish.com Rolling On Floor Laughing. Something can be insanely funny, without being vulgar and offensive. AKA Japanese -> English translations.

Please, no All Your Base replies.

    Re: Foreigners don't make sense

lots of people in this country walk around wearing t-shirts with Japanese symbols on them. They look cool, I guess. Many of them, translate to swearwords, however.

    Don't say that!

I've got a tattoo of japanese symbols... apparently.. it stands for music...

I wonder if it does.. it's probably the equivelent of an 'I'm with stupid t-shirt', bugger...

You have a tattoo of a Japanese symbol and you don't know what it means? That seems rather unusual.

Anyone else have a tattoo that they don't know much about?

I said.. It's meant to mean music... meant to.. that's what the guy in the tattoo parlour told me....

And then... afterwards.. I got to thinking... how many tattoo artists do YOU know that are fluent in Japanese??

    Damn and blast..

I've been searching Google for an image of the symbol, and all I've been able to find out is that "Justin from NSYNC" (whoever that is) has the symbol tattooed on his left ankle.

    [edit]
    Is this it?

You guys should check out the, "Engrish for YOU" section. It has this story told by a college student whol ost an election race of some sort on campus. The professor ( female, jap, with thick accent ) said to the man, "So-and-so, I am sorry to hear of you losing errection". ROFL.

Also very funny is hearing English-speaking people talking in other languages. In English-speaking, you don't need much articulating. Though in other languages, like Dutch, German and Italian, you do. English-speaking people aren't used to that, very funny.

In Germany they do synchronise (?) movies in other languages. That is, you don't here the actors and actresses speaking, but German people are saying the text in German. Which for example results in:

    "Haende hoch Cowboy!"
    "Johnny, was ist los?"

Hearing Germans speaking English is also very funny, since they are used to much articulation.
