    The war.

Standing in the street corner I should have been waiting for the bus, should have been hanging out with my friends, should of been waiting to cross the street, should of been doing anything else besides why I was there. I stood there in this city whose name was unknown, for I had no clue were I was, nor did any one else, to destroy anyone I saw. Those were my orders, I knew I had to follow them, for one must hide is heart when knows that if he lets one go the death of others is on his hands.

But it was peaceful for the moment and I could think back on how I had got here, how we had got here.

Life is great I thought to my self, I’ve achieved all I ever wanted, great job, goddess of a wife and 3 darling children. Turning on the TV to see who was winning in the polls for the Presidential election and to no surprise Liz Arcan had nearly ever vote. My life continued as it was, ordered but no to ordinary, until 2 days after the election the no gun law was passed. When I found this out I had this horrible feeling in my gut, but I thought it was for the best. For the next couple of weeks all the guns were collected, until no more could be found. Then in order to prevent the cop’s guns from falling in the wrong hands they to were also collected and destroyed. Crime rose slightly but no one noticed.

Then exactly one year since the banning of guns, the armed forces of England, Germany, Japan, China, Russia, French, and many others including the United States were ordered to deform and stop all missions. The pentagon was destroyed, and military weaponry was destroyed. One month latter, the last of the weapons had been destroyed a month a head of what it was predicted to take.

HA! Never gonna happen. There will still be people hiding guns. The military will never get rid of its guns. We may be dumb, but not that dumb. That's called sci-fi. We've seen that in books before, it's not a new idea. And it won't happen.

If no one had ANY guns, who attacks and with what?

    Knives, rocks and sticks?

    Bad poetry or bad breath?

(It'll never happen as the US makes too much from selling arms.)

    >>> The next day they attacked

... but since all the money that had previously been wasted on warmongery etc. had wisely been invested in useful sciences, a specially engineered virus wiped them out before the first of them reached the ground.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers march cheerfully out of obscurity unto the dream.
