    Jpeg , Jpg

    Hi y'all folks!
Ok, just kidding about that country accent...
anwy, does anyone know how to decode/display jpg or jpeg pictures. The requierments are for DOS, 256 colors at most, and let's say.. as little as possible need for the TASM.EXE ( Im using Borland 3.1-yes i know, but that's the way it is).

If anyone could help, that would be a great help

I remember a while ago someone asked a similar question about .WAV files, and one of the replies was a link to a site with the formats for all the common files used on Windows today. Try a search for it. I know I responded to the thread so, that should also narrow the search down a bit. Good Luck!

YAY! That's it! That site is WAY useful. The guy who came up with that idea is a genius. I need to keep that URL on file or something... I might use that a lot in the future.

    Thumbs up Actually

Actually guys, what would be nice was if someone compiled a 'lib' for the Borland C compiler that would just take care of opening and displaying jpg files. Alas -- *Sigh* --...i havn't found any such thing yet..

Anwy, Bubba, suprisingly (for me) i found a way for programming protected mode graphics using Borland C.. Course, this meant using the Universal video driver TSR and a whole set of unwanted drivers... I think i'll stick to 8 bit...:P

    Thanks anwy,,

    Stef

You could take a look here

    www.programmersheaven.com

Google comes up with a lot of JPEG libraries.
