The previous battles have been hard on his body as well as his mind and sprit, but he knew this battle would be even harder. All his training had come down to this day, this moment.
As he stood in the small field surround by woods waiting for his opponent he could not help but wonder what his opponent would be like, for no man has ever challenged him and lived.
His wait was not long opponent had been in the trees, waiting until the time was right to reveal himself. Scanning the tree lines a figure jumped out and hit the ground with out making a sound.
After a moment he raised his head and stared straight into the eyes of are warrior and asked, "What makes you think you can beat me?”
"I believe I can” as brave as the warrior could say.
With that the warrior’s opponent lifted his hand sending the warrior crashing into the trees. Who shook his head in wonder on how he was so easily thrown, but till his opponent’s slight surprise he was able to stand, and draw his sword.
Raising his hand once more to send the warrior flying. But this time the warrior did not move as he held his sword directly in front of him.
The warrior's opponent drew his sword and the battle continued, with neither one getting any advantage. After many close calls the warrior's opponent was able to send the warrior sliding across the ground, were he lay, unable to move.
"As I thought your week end pathetic. You have no right to challenge me, let alone think you can win. Well I enjoyed our little fight it is time to end it" and with that the warrior opponent raised his sword. But as he began to lower his sword, the warrior moved and knowing that the battle was not over yet the opponent jumped back, to allow the warrior to be able to get up.
"I will defeat you, I am the " as he rose to his feet, very unsteadily "the chosen warrior" and with that he charged toward his opponent as his opponent ran towards him, both with there swords ready. They pasted each other, the warrior had his eyes shot, and his opponent smiled confidant he had won. Just then a slash in his side glowed red, and he collapsed.
The warrior had defeated the God of Games, and now could continue on his journey thought he had no clue what it would bring.
