I am aware that no one ever changes their opinion on the internet while arguing with anyone else. Mostly I do it in the hope that 'lurkers' who are relatively neutral on the issue and therefore don't actually post (but read the arguments) become aware of the great disparity in evidence between the two sides, and are aided in coming to the correct decision that way. Or at least I hope that I can embarrass creationists into saying something monstrously stupid or contradicting themselves, quieting their obnoxious unqualified dismissals of hundreds of years of research for a little while while they sort themselves out.Quote:

Indeed. I would not forgive anyone who had the power to stop Tuesday's events but did not use it, and I imagine no one else here would either. (Except Mr. Witch King, who was probably dancing in the street.) I don't see why it should be any different with God - why didn't he stop it if he's omnipotent?Quote:
