driver not found for opengl voodoo2

    Hi
I have a PI-233 MHz, 64MB RAM, i've just bought a Voodoo2 12MB card. I've downloaded a driver which has speeded up most of the games that i play.

However, my opengl (with VC6 - win98) programs are still the same speed as before (i.e. they're not using the card)

Where may i find the right driver to do so...

Also, i don't have an internet connection at home. So, it would be a whole lot better if you can give me some downloadable driver address, which i might be able to save on floppies...

    thanx in advance

Making error is human, but for messing things thoroughly it takes a computer

Well, where is he supposed to post his question? On C++ board?

Acidburn, try to look after Voodoo drivers at nVidia's site, drivers section, as they bought 3dfx. I think, there are very few chances, but just an idea...

tried here , but nothing found. Keep searching! Good luck.

I've had experience on every Voodoo card since the Intense Intergraph Voodoo Rush. Voodoo cards do not seem to work well with any OpenGL games, old or recent. There is a small miniGL that comes with your card, but it really does not work well at all. In fact, Serious Sam will tell you not to install the miniGL as it will not work with the program.

The first Unreal game before UT really only worked with 3Dfx as I tried to use OpenGL and never got it to work. The same holds true for most modern games that use OpenGL. You will not be able to speed up OpenGL games on the Voodoo2. My father has this same card and he has had little to no success with OpenGL games. I think the only reason that 3Dfx said that their cards supported OpenGL was for marketing purposes. Their cards do not support the full complement of OpenGL and with most games you will get horrible frame rates and blinking or flashing polygons and corrupted textures.

My Voodoo3 3000 AGP will still not work with most OpenGL games. It's just not made for that. I don't think that NVidia is going to support any Voodoo cards. They crushed all of 3Dfx's inventory of cards about 2 to 3 months ago.

    I agree.

nVidia's cards (even low end) work fine with OpenGL.
    Buy a Vanta with 32MB SDRAM (about 35-40$ ) and you're done.
If you don't have AGP port - that's teh problem? -, then you should change your motherboard, processor... or forget OpenGL, and play with DirectX.
