"Pot is a gateway drug."
(Yes, it is because it puts you into situations where other drugs are offered and available)
"pot will drive you insane" (reefer madness)
So will day time TV
ect ect
Can't we at least get some NEW lies, from people who have little to no experience with drugs, to spread about?
Bottom line is prohibition does not work.
Legalise them all. Tax them all. If you want some you go to a doctor get pure measured doses. Put the money into education, infrastucture and medical research.
90% of drug resources are spent on law enforcement. That leaves very little to sort out the problems created by driving drug use under ground.
Someone I cared about had a heroin addiction. She was cured with Naltrexone, cost her a gall bladder. Better than my brother in law who drank himself to death before 40. I am the only one in my family not in the medical profession. I have tried all the common drugs at one point or another. Booze is by far the worst, as it is easily available along with petrol and solvents.
