    Win95.

Started the death of DOS. Sick of all that DOS crap. Sorry to the people who use it now but it was a pain in the ass to have to make boot disks to free up a few Kb of RAM to run a game under Win3.1.

Also got rid of config.sys /autoexec.bat.

Yeah, I went for 2k also. NT4 would have been my choice, but I guess one must move with the times. (Although I still don't like using IE as my "Windows Explorer", it irritates to be told that "you don't need to look in this folder", when, if I didn't, I wouldn't be trying).

I've not had a BSOD with 2000 yet. With NT4, (admittedly when fiddling), I got perhaps 2-3 a year.

I voted XP - we just upgraded from NT to 2K here at work, and I can definitely say I liked NT more - 2K's slower on this machine, for some reason. We've got XP at home and I just love it.

    >>> 2K's slower on this machine

Hmmm, can't say really, I was running NT4 on a 300MHz, and am running 2k on a 1.7GHz. I found little to dislike about NT4, and had to switch off a load of rubbish on 2k to get it to behave as I wanted, but otherwise, 2k seems fine.

Whoever voted for Windows ME should be shot!! JK, but really, I think ME is the worst OS on that list. Also, it might just be me, but XP has a lot of bugs. Maybe it's just my bad luck, but I always have stuff getting screwed up on this computer. My other one runs pretty much bug free with 95, and it was great with 2K.
