    My signature

I'm kinda torn. I went to edit my signature to point to the new domain and I noticed that you can use pictures, and I've got a doozy.

Should I stick with the one I've got or change it to the picture?

At the moment I've kinda got both. Seems a bit gaudy for me. I think I'm going to vote text.

If you didn't notice you could use images, you would text right?
    So... use text.

On a another note, who was the smartypants CBoard admin that decided it would be a good idea to allow images in the signature? Was it terribly wrong to just let it stay text only?

One more bandwidth notch on my staff.

Well, you have the option to turn off all images, but in relation to the sig... Who cares? Shame it wasn't a public pole :/

It was a public poll. That's odd. I didn't expect I'd be kiboshed by a badge heavy moderator with an over inflated sense of self worth without so much as a PM.

Up until this point I didn't think ill of those who ran this board.

I dunno, gravy. I think the point was to dissuade you from posting pointless poles in the future... we have had a number of serial pollsters from time to time... also don't start forum suggestion threads

I think the mods are a bit to picky about polls, even so, I have seen plenty of useless ones.
And I second the sig images thing, I mean, and at the same time, your only allowed to have a crumby 55x55, non-animated avatar!

Thank goodness for that. With images on signatures, all we need would be animated avatars for this place to look like a mmorpg forum.

I think I'll take of the picture. Feels a bit pretentious being the only one with them. And I guess only the mods get to be pretentious around here.

Hmm, maybe that was unnecessary. Ah well, it felt good.

I suggest you email one of the mods, if it is bothering you. Personally despite not being a fan of pools myself, I also don't see why it needed to be closed.

If being a mod is about deciding based on personal choice, then definitely I want to become a mod too.

By the way, wasn't signature images turned on lately? I tested it about a month ago, didn't work.

In defense of the person who closed the poll, I don't think the feature was meant to be abused. Abused such that polling isn't here to help people make trivial decisions that they could have based on their own preference. I'm curious why op cares what we think.

I took it more like one of those "fake" competitions where you don't have to pay anything (but the cost of a postage stamp), and the answer is blindingly obvious, e.g.
    Where does milk come from:
    [A] The milk tree
    [B] A cow
[C] A milkwell in the ground.
The purpose of such competitions isn't to challenge the competitor(?), but to "market" the product - in this case, the OP's link to some web-site.

Yes, there's always reasons. Except a reason as to why does it matter and why a completely different reason was given (in the shape of a pool editing with an hint of irony). Anyway I look at it, it looks more like a power trip than a conscious mod decision.

I suggest toning down a little the urge to click the button. I don't need to be breastfeed, thank you.

And more than a little jerky.

Now, in all honesty I made my decision without the poll on my own based on an observation of the board, but that doesn't excuse the behavior of the mod who, in my opinion, lashed out when I was making no conscious attempt at being annoying. I mean if I was acing like a 12 year old newbe, well we're all entitled to those moments. That doesn't excuse the moderator from acting like a 12 year old newbe.

Funny that we're talking to the mod who did this in the 3rd person. Probably hasn't been back since they made their little edit.
